Thanks for the info, Karol. If the functionality is the same, Steves question remains. Like him I dind't found any obvious connection between LAN functionality and the IRQ-DS, it seems only enabled as an interrupt in the ICU and Pins config tab, not in any LAN driver component. That supports WarrenMs view that it is propably only used for WOL purpose. But the connected pin on the LAN-chip is a multi purpose I/O, it can be configured for different usage, so I think its behavior depends on how the LAN chip is set up by the driver. Its a bit complicated to figure out if one can simply disconnect the pin without affecting other functionality than the wake-up feature.
