I am also interested in doing this on one of my projects. There are a few things that must be done first. GUIX supports gestures (swipe, pinch, etc.) however the cap touch drivers from SSP do not support these at this time. Most of the cap touch driver chips have some built-in capability to detect gestures. These capabilities are not supported by SSP cap touch drivers. Either Renesas will need to improve the drivers to support these gestures or some one of us users will need to write a new driver: The existing driver is not complex so adding the register reads to support gestures is not complicated The code is protected so you cannot copy and paste so the entire driver would need to be manually reproduced to add the gesture capability The next step would be to include support in the messaging framework for the touch screen to include the pre-existing GUIX gesture events. Again this is not complex. I have had to modify the messaging to exchange X and Y axis for my cap touch screen to work with GUIX At that point the rest of the GUIX support for gestures should become available to you and I !!! I am holding out for Renesas to update their touch screen driver to include gesture support. I do not have time to write a whole new driver. Steve D
